I completed half a century yesterday. Still the same old (or not so old) and while time hasn't necessarily made me wiser, it has given me the chance to learn things that are important to me. (some of the things other people think should be important to me I will probably never learn. Nor would I want to...)
Anyroad, I rewarded myself with a little Gorilla pod (had been putting off that purchase for ages) and went out for 3 hours last night, seeing if I could improve on the pics I took along the river one week ago.
And boy does it make a difference.
If it hadn't been below f***ing freezing I would have stayed out all night, the river on a clear night is a sight to behold. Maybe the artic temperatures go up again over the next few days, and I'll get some gloves and warm insoles for my boots and then we shall see if maybe in the next 50 years, there is hope for my dream of being a photographer.
If not I'll just keep happy-snapping away as before.
After all, life is too short to not have fun
